Reclined Sun Salutation

This yoga sequence is designed for people who want to get some stretching and gentle strengthening, but who have issues that keep them from sitting or standing up (e.g., POTS). The entire routine is done lying on your back, and transitions between moves are slow. Some poses have legs and arms in the air, but alternative positions are suggested in case that doesn’t work for you.

As always, consult your healthcare provider before starting new exercise and don’t do anything that makes you feel worse!

Yoga As You Are: Pitta Soothing

It’s been in my mind for over a year to do a follow-along yoga series with no narration or editing – just me doing yoga with nature sounds in the background. Now feels like the time to do that! So here it is…#1 in a periodic series of yoga videos recorded in the new tea house.

This first video is an appropriate topic. Pitta is fire, drive, and achievement. I’ve been in Pitta overdrive for weeks as I juggle Tea House details. So here’s the perfect routine for embracing imperfection!
