All kinds of physical and emotional conditions can make it hard to take a deep breath. Respiratory illnesses, grief, or feeling like you have to “hold it all together” constrict the rib cage, making it hard to let breath – and energy – flow in and out. Joyful Breath Syrup is a combination of aromatics, bitters, and trophorestoratives traditionally used to sooth and lubricate the lungs, heal the physical and emotional heart, and encourage good digestion. The result is a tasty blend that fans report softens a dry cough, relaxes the chest, and makes it easier to take a joyful breath – and smile!
Format: Syrup kits contain enough dry herbs, spices, and fruits to create about a pint of finished syrup. At home, you bring the herbs to a boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Strain the mixture and add honey (and sometimes lemon juice) to taste. The result is a syrup you can keep in the fridge for several weeks. Take it by the spoonful, or stir into hot water for an instant tea! Full instructions are included.
Dosage: 1-2 tablespoons up to 4 times a day
Ingredients: elecampane root, astragalus root, hawthorn berries, bitter orange peel, cinnamon bark, orange oil, citric acid, plus your own honey (or maple syrup)
