My name is Emily Springfield, and I’m a somatic wellness practitioner, online learning designer, and gardener. I’ve been exploring body-and-mind health for over 25 years, starting with yoga in the late 1990s. Since then, I’ve studied reflexology, t’ai chi, myofascial release, and herbalism. I’ve worked with over 100 clients from ages 6 to 96 for conditions ranging from stress and anxiety to major gait issues and post-surgical care.
I’ve also received my share of bodywork for healing – most notably as I recovered from a major bout of post-viral syndrome/adrenal fatigue after having pneumonia in 2016. My practice and my teaching is heavily informed by what I learned through research and experience as I recovered from “only able to do 15 minutes of exercise a day” to “better than I’ve felt in 15 years.”
I’m also keenly aware that every body is different. I want to make my teaching accessible and useful to as many people as possible, so the exercises are extremely gentle. I also acknowledge that some approaches don’t work for some people. I hope that we’ll find a good fit – and if we don’t, I hope your experience here will help you find a direction that suits you even better.
